Day #6 – Flour Alternatives For Your Gut

Hello!

We’re humming right along for day #6 of this challenge. How are you going so far?

Many of the gut and digestive issues people are having these days are coming from gluten. Gluten-free is huge today and it’s because gluten is wreaking havoc on our intestinal villi and destroying our guts.

On top of that, most wheat products are sprayed with GMOs and glyphosates that cause their own set of problems.

The other issue with standard white bread is that many years ago bread actually had iodine in it which promoted thyroid and hormone health. The issue with that was the bread was brown in color and people wanted to eat white bread.

So they removed the iodine (which was healthy) and added potassium bromide which has a tremendous negative impact on thyroid function.

It’s a double whammy, removing something good and replacing it with something very harmful.

So what do we do?

Fortunately, there are so many wheat flour alternatives like…

Almond flour
Coconut flour
Garbanzo bean flour
Rice flour
Tapioca flour
And so many more.

Since all disease begins in the gut, we must stop the damage that we’re causing with every meal we consume.

We must find alternatives to wheat flour that works for us.

Instructions: Make a recipe of your choice and replace wheat flour with a more natural alternative like some of the options listed above. When you’re finished upload a photo of it to Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #extremehealthchallenge.
